Visiting Family

Lee had lot's of family come to see his show. My mom and sister came over the weekend, his dad came Monday, and his mom, grandmother, and brother stopped by on Wednesday. His sister and her family came by as well-see the previous post. The girls enjoyed having all the family visit!
Kevin was a good sport in helping watch the girls.
(Liz-Taylor is wearing the St. Patricks Day pin you made in this one!)
I think the excitement got to Kadie...what a face!
Kadie got everyone to herself for a while when Taylor was at preschool. She enjoyed all the attention and stayed happy even though she missed her nap.
I thought this was a cute picture of Grandma Jane. Kadie helped take it.
We appreciate how everyone came to show support for Lee's Thesis show.

Adorable Duo

Lee's sister Amanda stopped by to view his Thesis show this week. Her twins have grown a lot since we last saw them last and I can't believe how cute they are! They are walking now and it was cute to watch them toddle around the art building.

The stairs in the art building are a magnet for kids.
I love Josh's smile in this one:
Kadie kept trying to put Eva's hood on
but I don't think she like it much.

Josh:
I caught all four in the same shot!
I love how Josh is mimicking Kadie's pose.
Thanks for coming Amanda and Peter! The girls enjoyed seeing their cousins and your kiddo's are adorable!

Haircuts and Dresses

Taylor has had trouble with getting her hair done lately so we decided to get it cut so it was easier to manage. My mom was here over the weekend so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity. My mom was able to take Kadie while Taylor got a cut and I got a trim. When she came back to pick us up, Kadie started to cry and wanted hers cut too. I like the wave that her hair has and was hesitant to cut it-I even called Lee to get his opinion. In the end, we decided to go with it. Here they are showing off their new styles and in new dresses that they picked out at the store the other day:

Someone ends up in tears:
A girl can never have too many accessories...

Greatest Invention Ever

I recently bought these snack cups for the girls to eat their goldfish crackers out of and I'm in love. I usually have to vacuum everyday and sometimes even more than once thanks to those darn crackers but no more! These are Munchkin brand lidded snack cups and the soft slotted top keeps the fish from spilling out. No more crunched crackers in the carpet and no more cereal dumped on church pews! I highly recommend them!

A Child's Prayer

Kadie never fails to soften my heart. She is just over two-and-a half and said a bedtime prayer all by herself: "Dear Heavenly Father, thank thee for this day. Please help Kadie to get a good night's sleep. Thank you for my family. Please bless me to be happy and healthy. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

What a sweetheart!

B-U-G

This morning Taylor was coloring in the living room and watching cartoons while I was in bed reading a book. She came into the bedroom to show me this:

In Word World they were teaching Bug how to write his name. She took what she saw and wrote it on the paper. I was totally shocked. She has practiced writing her name before, but it doesn't contain any of these letters. I love how she just announced, "Look mom, I just wrote BUG...see...B-U-G!" What a smart girl.

Tuckered out Taylor

Taylor is currently enrolled in a community preschool that is taught through the University. She absolutely loves going. Days she goes to preschool she doesn't get a nap in. While she is slowly outgrowing nap time, she still gets pretty tired towards the end of the day. Hence, the following pictures:

In the middle of eating goldfish and fell asleep with the cup still in place...
Taking a nap on a non-school day and fallening asleep with a slight frown on her face...
Aww...Sisterly love. Pictures like this are rare! (They don't usually snuggle and Kadie doesn't usually like to share her 'lovey'.)
