Pictures in the Park

We promised the older girls a trip to the park after dinner.  Torrey was visiting so we put the babies in strollers, grabbed the dog, and all walked down to the park to play.  Torrey is an awesome photographer and she loves to set the kids up for photo shoots.  It's fun to watch the babies together since they are so close in age.

I love how Kim's outfit popped against the green of the grass:

Kadie's First Day of Preschool

Kadie started preschool on Tuesday of this past week.  She's excited to be going to "school" like Taylor is. I love it because her preschool is right next door to where I work and she comes to daycare after she is finished for a little bit before we head home for the day.  Kadie is such a smart little girl.  She had to be screened for preschool and she was able to make it into the advanced preschool.  She had one of the higher scores for kids tested from her group.  She's going to go to Kindergarten and already know it all!  She is such a sponge and can already write her name.  Last year she would watch Taylor do her homework and knew a lot of the information that Taylor was doing in school.  I'm excited for her to learn even more and glad she will have something to keep her active mind busy.  Here are her traditional first day of school pictures...what a ham!

Taylor's First Day of School

Where have the years gone?!? Taylor started first grade on Monday this week. I can't believe that I am even old enough to have a first grader. Taylor has a thirst for knowledge and absolutely lives for school. At four, she wanted to go by herself on the first day of preschool and was mad that I had to go and sign her in. She even wanted to walk across town herself to get there! She loved preschool back then and was sad that she couldn't go every day. She excels at learning and is so eager-to-please she she really does well in school. Here's a few flashback photos. It's tradition in our house to get that first day of school shot so here they are so far:

She's growing up so fast...she already seems way older than 6 in this photo!

They Match!

We have a pair of polka-dot pj's that the older girls would take turns wearing until Taylor outgrew them. They were the coveted favorite and my mom happened to find the same one in Kim's size at a garage sale. Too cute! Here's Kim and Kadie modeling their polka dots:
Had to put this picture in too. Taylor and Kadie love to play with Kim, but I'm not sure she always enjoys the attention she gets!

The Kimmy Squish

I posted a video of it a while ago on facebook, but wanted to document the famous "Kimmy Squish" by picture too. Kim constantly puts her thumbs down and moves them back and forth like she is squishing something. It is too cute and she does it almost anytime there isn't something in her hands. She is a mover and a shaker and is currently working on crawling. She can scoot on her belly, and is attempting to go onto her hands and knees from time to time.

Pretties in Her Hair

While I already have two other girls whose hair I have to do daily, we are excited that Kimmy now has enough hair to "do."

Swimming Lessons

Grandma Ferris took Taylor to her swimming lessons this summer while I was at work. Taylor took Level 1 which was awesome because there was only her and one other boy in the class! She got a lot of one-on-one and her new favorite thing to do is jump off the diving board at the pool.
