Happy Easter

So before we start on Easter, here is a picture of Taylor at her Kindergarten concert. She did an awesome job singing and I loved all the actions that went along with the songs. She got to stand in front during one of the songs and play the mouse. We were sitting on the wrong side to get a good picture, so here she is with her mouse after the concert was over!
Moving on...
Happy Easter
The girls had fun coloring their eggs.
We weren't very imaginative this year and pretty much stayed to the basic colors.

Kim got to join in on the festivities...
So cute!
Kadie displaying her favorite egg:
Taylor displaying her favorite too:
The "Easter Bunny" mainly stuck to a theme this year and went crazy with Tangled stuff. We got the movie earlier in the month, but couldn't save it until Easter. We've watched it too many times already.
The girls all looked cute in their dresses...
Even when we couldn't coax a smile:
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter.
I am grateful for my savior and that his sacrifice allows us all to live with him again!

So tired...

Yesterday we had a long, but fun day. We started the morning by going to a Cat in the Hat event where they served breakfast and got free books. It was fun, but the girls were a little scared of the characters in costume. A neighbor friend came and played with the girls while they were with Grandma, and then later that night, they got to stay up late and go the movie Rio with Grandma. They must have had a lot of fun, because they are sleepy today.

Taylor got sent to time out for pinching her sister while getting ready to play outside. I came around the corner to get her out of time out in her room and this is what I found...

Her head would occasionally bob too....
Such a tired girl. She lives life to the fullest, but it does catch up with her sometimes!

Glasses, Grins, and Danny Devito

A new event in our lives is that Taylor had to get glasses. She failed the eye test at school, so Grandma took her to the eye doctor while I was at work. I guess her eyes are so bad that she has to level up her prescription. She will go back in three months to get the higher one! They said that if she got the full strength to begin with she would never wear her glasses because it would make her dizzy/be too hard to adjust to. Since I wasn't there, she picked out a pair by herself. I think she did a good job! It was funny to watch her get out of the car when she got home. She couldn't walk straight because she said that she was up high and the ground was down low! I was worried about her losing or breaking them at school, but so far she is doing well with them.
Kimberly in her swing...the camera put a light in her face and it kind of startled her. I think the picture is hilarious!

We recently brought out the Jumper, but she is still kind of small for it. She likes hanging out in it though because she can look around. Love her killer smiles!
And last but not least, my mom said I needed to get a picture of Kimberly's hair line before it changes. Does it remind anybody else of Danny Devito's hair line? Her hair is really growing fast and the top will catch up to the back...eventually!

Post Soup

So even though I've taken pictures, with my schedule it seems impossible to blog during the week so I will try to post at least every Sunday. So from the past little while, here are some pictures and happenings in our house.

On St. Patrick's Day we all wore green.
Here is my little leprechaun wearing a hat she colored in school. Cute, huh?
When we made our shopping trip, Grandma bought the girls this little house to color. We have had it for a few weeks, but I wouldn't put it up until they colored it all. Best money spent since it took them hours and hours of coloring to finish it!
They love playing in it and have even watched TV through the little door. Silly girls!
Kimberly is over a nasty cold and ear infection and is doing great. She just recently turned three months old. Here she is holding a little "k" during bath time:
On Friday, we had to leave work early. Kadie's teachers brought her over to me and said she was really tired and didn't fall asleep until the last few minutes of nap time. She was crying and felt hot to me. She was 103 when I took her temp! Poor Kadie! We came home and I put some cartoons on for her to watch. I had the flu over the last weekend and I thought she might not feel well so I gave her a bowl just in case. She fell asleep like this, bless her heart. It was short lived and she felt better the next day!

Caught On Camera

While she has been smiling for a long time now, it was hard to catch on camera...
We persevered and her are the results:

So Sorry...

For anyone who follows my blog, sorry for the absence. They say that the only constant in life is change and that is certainly true in our family. I went back to work in February. I am working at a daycare owned by a family friend and love it. While I am not always in the same room with my children, I am sometimes and I like being in the same building as they are where I can peek in and check on them. My days are long between getting three little girls and myself ready in the morning, dropping Taylor off at school, working all day, and then the night routine at home. It has been a hard adjustment for our family, but the extra income is helpful towards debt while we are in a transitional phase in our life.

Lee has been unable to find a job in his field since graduating with his Master's in Fine Art. He got a job at our local Wal-mart in sporting goods to pass the time while searching for something different, but recently gave his two-week notice. He has been given the opportunity to work for a monument company. He will be designing headstones and monuments and gets a commission when they sell. We are excited for him to be on a more regular schedule and the opportunity he has to use his art!

Taylor is still loving school. While it made me nervous at first, she now rides the bus after school to the daycare where I work. She loves riding the bus and going to daycare until I am off work. Silly girl! She is thriving in school. I get compliments on how well-behaved she is and her current milestone is learning to read like a pro!

Kadie is the plucky comic relief in our family. She has the cutest little behaviors that make us smile. She has had to adjust from life at home with Mommy, to going to daycare. It made her cry at first and made me sad, but she seems to enjoy going and when given the choice to go home early, she gets mad. I think that overall, it is good for her to socialize. She is really smart and seems ready for kindergarten already, but socially she is quite shy!

Kimberly is growing like a weed. Last week at the doctor's, she weighed in at 11 pounds, 7 ounces. She smiles, has laughed a few times, and has recently discovered her hands and brings them to her mouth every chance she gets. We have gone through the colds in our house and she has been the latest victim. A doctor's visit confirmed a bad ear infection and a lot of chest congestion. She has spent the nights in her car seat in our room with humidifiers going! The past two nights she has only gotten up once and we are super excited to be getting more sleep.

I rarely have the time to get on a computer, let alone take pictures, so this is the most recent photo I have to post and it is from a Sunday almost three weeks ago! She looks so cute in that color! I will try to be better at posting so stay tuned!

Kadie's Art

Kadie is currently banned from coloring after she colored on my mom's couch, then after having a discussion about how we only color on paper, she colored on the floor and the church bench. Before she was banned, she drew this picture of her daddy.
Isn't it hilarious...kind of good likeness!
She also drew this snowman:
Quite the aspiring artist for only being 3!
