Kim Scooting On Her Bum...

Here comes trouble...

Kimmy has recently started 'crawling.' She either scoots around on her bum (her preferred movement of choice), or she army crawls on her belly.  She started doing it one day and now she is getting faster at it every day.  One of the hotspots: the bookshelf.  She loves to crawl over to it and take off all the books she can reach!  Kim turned 9 months old this past Wednesday and got her first tooth on that day as well.  She is now sporting her two bottom front teeth!

Big News!

Grandma Ferris got Taylor some new dresses.  (Since there are three other girls to pass them on to if you count Emma, we thought they would be worth it.)  The first dress is covered in ladybugs.  Taylor was super coordinated and even had ladybug earrings in!
Kadie said I needed to take her picture too:
To pass the day (Sundays always seem super long to me and I don't nap well...), I made some flower hair clips for the girls.  These were the color combos that I came up with.  It was nice to use a little creativity and a hot glue gun always makes me feel crafty!
And finally, the BIG NEWS!  Taylor lost her first tooth today!  She had been wiggling it for over a month now and her tooth was starting to turn gray.  Lee went in the bathroom with her and after 30 minutes and the use of floss, fingers, and pliers, the tooth came out.  Taylor now ranks among the toothless!
Way to go Taylor!!!

Pictures in the Park

We promised the older girls a trip to the park after dinner.  Torrey was visiting so we put the babies in strollers, grabbed the dog, and all walked down to the park to play.  Torrey is an awesome photographer and she loves to set the kids up for photo shoots.  It's fun to watch the babies together since they are so close in age.

I love how Kim's outfit popped against the green of the grass:

Kadie's First Day of Preschool

Kadie started preschool on Tuesday of this past week.  She's excited to be going to "school" like Taylor is. I love it because her preschool is right next door to where I work and she comes to daycare after she is finished for a little bit before we head home for the day.  Kadie is such a smart little girl.  She had to be screened for preschool and she was able to make it into the advanced preschool.  She had one of the higher scores for kids tested from her group.  She's going to go to Kindergarten and already know it all!  She is such a sponge and can already write her name.  Last year she would watch Taylor do her homework and knew a lot of the information that Taylor was doing in school.  I'm excited for her to learn even more and glad she will have something to keep her active mind busy.  Here are her traditional first day of school pictures...what a ham!

Taylor's First Day of School

Where have the years gone?!? Taylor started first grade on Monday this week. I can't believe that I am even old enough to have a first grader. Taylor has a thirst for knowledge and absolutely lives for school. At four, she wanted to go by herself on the first day of preschool and was mad that I had to go and sign her in. She even wanted to walk across town herself to get there! She loved preschool back then and was sad that she couldn't go every day. She excels at learning and is so eager-to-please she she really does well in school. Here's a few flashback photos. It's tradition in our house to get that first day of school shot so here they are so far:

She's growing up so fast...she already seems way older than 6 in this photo!
