Petite Picasso's

I am always amazed how a few 97 cent wooden crafts and a supply of craft paint can entertain these girls for hours:
The older two girls can get away with just paint shirts but Kim is a force of destruction and we thought we should take every precaution.  Notice the paint in her hair?

Larger Than Life

Kim went home yesterday from daycare with a fever and woke up this morning still running a fever.  The older girls are also home from school so we are all taking the day to relax and play.  Kim has always been able to self-entertain and she is busy at it today too.  I love these pictures.
The making of her block tower:
 "Tah-Dah"
 Such Concentration:
Love the look of her face on this one.  She is trying to move her foot without knocking over the tower so she can go get more blocks:
 One block too many:
Grateful that even though she doesn't feel the best, she is still a happy camper.

And a Happy New Year

We had a little New Years party with the kids.  They had a blast.  My mom and sister went shopping and got hats, some streamer decorations, glow sticks, party horns, and sparkling apple juice.  We had our party and counted down to the new year (or 6:00 p.m. if you are small children that have a 7:00 bed time).  My mother likes to get couch pictures of all the grandkids that are present.
Emma in her party hat.  What a cutie:
 My trio of trouble:
 Kadie was ready to party:
My sister and I were taking turns with Emma and Kim in the blanket and throwing them up in the air.  After they were done I laid down on a blanket and Emma tried as hard as she could to toss me up in the air too!
No one would watch the TV if it was on, but they would pile around the Ipad if anyone was watching or playing on it:
 Playing in the snow:
Kim was only one last winter and I'm not sure she remembered what snow was...
 Cuddling cousins:
Anytime there was bath water running, these three had to be a part of it:
The cool train that the older kids got to put together and color!
Liz and her family had to leave Tuesday morning.  We miss Aunty Liz and her french braiding skills.  Poor Kim misses Emma.  Whenever we go anywhere she asks for Emma when we get back.  I think she misses her playmate.
