Surprise Weekend Part II

So after my Vegas week and the surprise of meeting Lee at the airport, followed by a night in Salt Lake and then a day at Lagoon, Lee had one more surprise. We got to stay the night at the Black Swan Inn. The Inn features themed rooms and we stayed in the Romeo and Juliet room. (We thought it was more medieval than Romeo and Juliet but whatever...). Here are some of the scenes on the wall:

The Fireplace:

Breakfast Nook:

Friendly Knight at the doorway:

Royal Throne:

Jetted Tub:

And the bed:

It was a memorable experience. The bed was actually on a balcony on the second floor with a small staircase leading up to it and the tv was mounted really high on the wall to be even with the bed. We also got a complementary breakfast at Perkins and it was yummy! I have an amazing husband who I have spent 5.5 years with and I look forward to more wonderful surprises along the journy of life.
THANKS LEE!

Birthday Girl

I can't believe my baby is 2!

Two years ago today we were having Kadie at the hospital...I can't believe how big she's grown and how adorable she continues to be!

A Surprise Weekend

After I got off the plane from Vegas I was expecting my mom to pick me up because my husband was supposed to be visiting Family in Star Valley but he surprised me at the airport. We spent the night in Salt Lake and went to Lagoon the next day (yes...still without kids!).
The ski lift from one side of the park to the other was our favorite.

This was like a ferris wheel...

View from the top...(The first roller coaster we rode was the old white one and it made both of us nauseous. We decided that we were too old for roller coasters because they make us feel icky and avoided the rest of them after that since the BASIC one made us sick)

You could spin the Ferris Wheel thing in different directions...

We had a little too much fun!

Picture of the train that went through part of the park and showed us animals...This is for Chase and Taylor to see!

Picture of Lee in an early LDS chapel as part of the old buildings you could tour.

Picture of me SOAKING WET after Lee pulled me into the waterfall after I tried so hard to stay dry on Rattlesnake Rapids...

All in all we had a blast and this was only the first half of my surprise weekend!
(More pictures coming soon...)

Vegas, Baby, Vegas!!!

I spent the 8th through the 11th of June in Vegas with my sister and best friend. It was really fun to have some quality girl time without the presence of kids or husbands (although they were missed...). One of the first things we did was get a pedicure. Here are my cute toes afterwords!

One of the places we hung out a lot was at the Forum Shops in Cesar's Palace. My best friend, Melinda, works in a store there and we spent a lot of time wandering the many shops. They have some pretty amazing statues. I bought Lee and little version of the Venus De Milo. Here is there version of the statue David, and another statue that spanned several floors that I thought was cool.

We checked out the gondola rides at the Venetian, but they were pretty pricey for such a short ride so we decided to pass, but it looked cool.

A surprising place that was tons of fun was Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. They had lots of famous actors and actresses and you could use their props and join in the pictures. I took a ton of pictures there but here are some fun ones...

(Me and Melinda giving Simon a kiss even though he doesn't look like he appreciates it)

(Melinda and Bond, James, Bond)

A pretty picture of their Eiffel Tower...My tribute to Nolan (my brother-in-law who is currently on a mission in France).

Melinda and I couldn't decide on what to have at the Rain Forest Cafe inside the MGM Grand as our final meal together in Vegas so we decided to go out with a bang! This is brownies and ice cream and the waiter came out singing at the top of his lungs. This is all we had for dinner that day.

I've been to the Bellagio before but it is one of my favorite casinos with the water show and flower gardens.

The absolute best part of the trip was the Cirque Du Soleil: Mystere show that we went to. We weren't allowed to take pictures inside but it was amazing. It had humorous audience participation, some interesting parts that someone had to have been either dreaming or stoned to create, and some amazing circus-type performances. I highly recommend that show to anyone going to Vegas in the future!

Our New Baby!

Psych...Made you look! Jusr kidding. Here is a picture of our new car that we bought a few weeks ago. It is a 2008 Toyota Sienna. It seats 8 people and is nice and roomy. We LOVE it.

I was using the new camera to play around with black and white and other things. (Melissa...to answer your question it is a Canon Power Shot Digital Camera).

I love pansies...Hope this flower brightens your day!

Above is Taylor and Kadie at the ward BBQ doing one of their favorite pastimes.
Below is a cute big sister moment...intro to potty training.
