Bunk Bed!

Now that we have three bedrooms, we wanted to get Taylor a bunk bed so that we would have a guest bed for when family comes to visit and to eventually put Kadie back in with her when our family grows. We have looked around for one for a while, but were finally able to find one after we moved. Taylor was really excited and loves sleeping in her new bed. We went to the store and picked out new bedding that is way cute (I did have to do a little convincing so we didn't end up with Dora, Barbie, or similar themed bedding.)
Here's a closer view of the bedding:

The Joys of Moving

We loaded our moving van the day before graduation and it was the fastest/easiest load we've had so far. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that I had been packing for the last several weeks and most of our stuff was stacked in our dining room and ready to go!
It was a really LONG drive to our new apartment after spending all night the night before cleaning, waking up and cleaning some more, and then hitting the road after graduation. The girls and I got really tired of being in the car. Poor Kadie cried the last hour about how she wanted to "go home." We made it in one piece at 9:30 that night and with the help of friends were able to have the moving truck unloaded in less than an hour. Unfortunately, our landlord had called while we were driving and apologized that he had been out of town and had not checked the apartment and it was not as clean as he was lead to believe that it was. We think that was a bit of an understatement!

An example of what the walls look like in some places:

We had to wash all the windows...look at the dust! And we even had to replace some of the blinds that had been broken. Not to mention washing all the upper valence curtains that haven't been washed in years!
Bless Lee's heart...He took care of cleaning the stove:
ESPECIALLY UNDERNEATH IT! YUCK!

Once again...YUCK! Under the fridge:
While it certainly isn't fun to clean our own apartment, move, and then do it all again (However...mine wasn't this bad to clean!!!), we are almost finished. Lee doesn't start his teaching job until Monday so we have spent the days cleaning and putting our stuff away. After it's all clean, I actually really love the space we have in our new apartment and all we have left to do is wash down walls!

Graduation

Lee Graduated with a Master's Degree in Fine Art on the 8th of May. It has been a long road, but I am so proud of all his accomplishments. He worked so hard to get where he is and we are excited about the future. He plans to teach art and even has a summer job lined up teaching Color Theory and Beginning Drawing at a University!

Graduation itself was quite the experience! We had loaded up our moving van the day before and spent the rest of the evening and the morning of graduation cleaning out our apartment. Lee grabbed his diploma and kept on walking! We had a nice lunch with family, and then hit the road for a 7-hour car trip to our next chapter in life.

Outer Limits Fun Zone

Since we are getting ready to move, we decided to go to the Outer Limits one last time.
The girls had tons of fun and I remembered the camera this time!

Balloons and Bubbles

Today we went out to Ross and the mall. The girls were being pretty good so at the mall, they picked out some balloons. Here's Taylor being a goof-ball with hers:
And Kadie trying to imitate the pose:

They also picked out bubbles at Ross. I was skeptical about them at first because they claimed to be spill proof and not all bubbles you get at the store seem to work, but these were a lot of fun!
Kadie had a little bit of trouble getting anything to come out...
Success...See her one bubble by the table?
