Randomness

Goofball Kadie modeling her 100th day of school hat:
Taylor playing with a mix of my "old" Littlest Pet Shops and her newer ones.
Kim's latest passion has been to help with dishes.  She just helped me do the last batch.  She likes to rinse usually.  Her Grandpa has been home lately so she wanted to help him:
The face we get when we tell her to "say cheese:"
My mother keeps telling me that the next baby we try to have (not an announcement) will turn out to be twin girls so that we will have five little girls instead of three.  I don't think that is very funny!  Kim decided she would practice just in case that future ever comes to pass:

A Sledding We Will Go

So funny story before I get to our sledding pictures.  We were eating Arby's for dinner last week.  Kim was in one of her moods and kept pushing the food away.  She kept pointing to something and asking for it.  We finally understood that she wanted one of the sauce containers.  (She in particular pointed out the honey mustard one).  She had had a pudding as a snack earlier in the day and I think she assumed this would be something similar.  After we opened it she demanded a spoon and one of the girls went and got one for her.  She took a big spoonful and it was priceless.  She kept a perfectly straight face while she moved it around in her mouth.  You could tell she was thinking "wait a minute, this isn't pudding, but I don't want to give anyone the satisfaction by reacting..."  She swallowed it down and then shuddered.  We were all in tears from laughing so hard.  Naturally, she declined a second spoonful.
While they don't do it justice, two pictures of a gorgeous sunrise outside the front door:
We took the girls sledding in the old football bowl on Saturday.  It's perfectly sized for their age.  We had a blast!  I thought Kim might be scared, but she would squeal all the way down the hill and then demand another turn.
Lee thought he would try to roll down the hill in the tubes.  It didn't turn out so well:

Block Towers

It's so nice when the kids aren't hooked into anything electronically related.  Kadie and Kim sat down for about an hour and made towers together.  Things got a little heated when they knocked each others towers down, but overall they had fun!

Bathroom Remodel

So for the past twenty plus years, we have had this yellow and black plastic tile in the bathroom:
My dad paid someone to start a bathroom remodel.  He is starting with the shower and will do the rest over time:
It looks really different without any wall up yet!
What the new tile looks like.  Kind of reminds me of marble:

Sock Monkey

As a kid, my dad had a homemade sock monkey.  Since he is hard to shop for, we usually get him something sock monkey related for Christmas.  Last Christmas, We got him this awesome four foot sock monkey.  Kim discovered it in his closet and has been dragging it around.
 Giving the monkey a kiss:
Not sure what she is doing to it in this picture.  I think she was trying to kiss the monkey and it fell down:
Kim was home sick this day and she was watching cartoons with the sock monkey.  She didn't feel very good and was not impressed that I was snapping a photo:
